KCSS staff held the first retreat for the year 2014. The main purpose of the bi-annual retreat was to evaluate the work of KCSS in a period of six months from January to June and prepare the working plan/strategy for the next six month until the end of the calendric year.
The main points discussed in this retreat are as following: the KCSS policy products, branding, communication, and fundraising. The first part of the day was dedicated to the implementation of the six month agenda set in the previous retreat by evaluating each point carefully. While the second part of the day consisted in the same points to plan and schedule each activity and event accordingly by also covering each project carefully. Each researcher/project officer reported and informed the staff about their projects as well as the upcoming events and activities. The session ended with a clear strategy and working plan for the next six months,, until the next retreat in December 2014.
Despite the above mentioned points, the KCSS management was focused one the Think Tank Fund organizational grant by focusing on the internal management, branding and communication as well as the quality control of the KCSS products.
The retreat ended with a training session on policy writing for the KCSS staff and the interns.
