Kosovar Centre for Security Studies today has published the report on Monitoring and Assessing the Integrity in the Security Sector in Kosovo, with focus on Kosovo Police (KP) and Kosovo Security Force (KSF).This is the third report published by KCSS regarding this topic and it covers the period from October 2016 to October 2017.
During the conference, challenges and priorities of building integrity within security sector in Kosovo were discussed, with particular focus on most sensitive issues of integrity in Kosovo Police and Kosovo Security Force.
The following issues were discussed during the conference:
· The challenges of Integrity in the Kosovo Police and Kosovo Security Force in the four main areas of the integrity such as: Public Procurement, Human Resource Management, Internal Audit and Asset Declaration and Conflict of Interest.
· Internal control mechanisms.
· Transparency of Kosovo Police and Kosovo Security Force.
· Efficiency of mechanisms for preventing and fighting corruption in the Police and KSF.
Conference was attended by representatives from the Kosovo Police, Kosovo Security Force, KFOR, embassies, independent state agencies, members of the Committee on Internal Affairs, Security and Oversight of the Kosovo Security Force, civil society organisations and media.
