CONFERENCE: ACCOUNTABILITY OR NOT? MANAGING PUBLIC FUNDS IN THE KOSOVO SECURITY SECTOR

KONFERENCË: LLOGARIDHËNIE APO JO? MENAXHIMI I PARASË PUBLIKE NË SEKTORIN E SIGURISË NË KOSOVË

Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) will organize a conference entitled “Accountability or not? Managing public funds in the Kosovo Security Sector” which will be held on Wednesday 26th of February starting at 10:00 -12:00 at “Sirius” Hotel, Prishtina

The conference will present findings of the research paper Accountability or not? Managing of public funds in Kosovo Security Sector” which covers the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Kosovo Security Force and the Kosovo Police.  This conference will tackle the following issues:

Public Finance Management

Public Procurement

The Role of Internal and External Audit

Parliamentary Oversight

The conference will have panelists from key institutions such as: Ministry of Interior Affairs – Kosovo Police and Kosovo Security Force. This roundtable aims to provide a platform for discussion regarding the public expenditures in Kosovo Security Sector, as well as to provide recommendations expecting to increase transparency and financial accountability of Kosovo’s security institutions. This roundtable will bring together representatives from Kosovo security institutions, representatives of international civilian and military missions in Kosovo, independent experts, representatives from civil society and media.
