PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANIES IN THE WESTERN BALKANS

A KCSS research team composed by senior researcher Mentor Vrajolli and researcher Donika Emini have participated in the workshop with the topic “Private security companies in the Western Balkans” organized by the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) and the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM).

This workshop represents the second event organized in the framework of the project entitled: “Private Security Companies in the Western Balkans” funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). The aim of this workshop was to set up the working definitions and methodological framework for the two papers focusing on the Legislative Analysis and Mapping Study of the development of the Private Security Sector in Kosovo. The team also discussed other issues for following workshops and main decisions to be taken.
