KCSS Researcher, Sofije Kryeziu delivered a presentation at the conference with the topic "Serbia - Kosovo: Potential for Cooperation and Key Challenges of Common European Perspective" held on 29th April, in Belgrade.

Ms. Kryeziu's presentation was focused on the representation of the Albanian minority in Serbia's security sector, respectively in the Serbian Police. In this presentation she presented the main achievements accomplished when it comes to representation of the Albanian ethnic minority in Serbian Police since 2001. On the other hand she highlighted the main shortcomings as well as remaining challenges towards greater and sustainable representation of the Albanian ethnic minority in the Serbian Police.

On the other side, researchers of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) Maja Bjelos and Bojan Elek have presented the findings of their report regarding the Serbian ethnic minority representation in the Kosovo Police, focusing on their representation before and after the Brussels Agreement reached between Belgrade and Pristina, in April 2013.

The panellists' presentations triggered many questions among the participants present at the conference. The policy paper "Albanian Minority Representation in the Serbian Police" will be published shortly in both, KCSS and BCSP web pages.
