WHAT IS AN INCLUSIVE SOCIETY AND HOW DO WE CREATE A TOLERANT SOCIETY?

KCSS team consisted of Donika Emini and Shpend Kursani participated in a conference organized by the Rotary Club - Kosovo. This conference raised discussions focusing on inclusive and tolerant societies, ethnic and religious problems in Kosovo, human rights and extremism in Kosovo. This conference brought together civil society organizations in Kosovo as: KCSS, CRDP, NDI and the UK Foundation ACF - Active Change Foundation, London. It was organized with the support of the American Embassy in Kosovo and represents the first event of seven planned activities organized in differnet regions of Kosovo. The conference brought together 100 participants from the Prizren region mainly students, high school students, teachers, school principals, parents and other community members.

KCSS researcher, Donika Emini presented data from the Kosovo Security Barometer focusing on perceptions of the main internal threats, as well as their perceptions towards public institutions, all these being focused in pereceptions of the respondetns from urban and rural areas of Kosovo. While Shpend Kursani focused on ethnic and religious tolerance and facilitated the afternoon sessions and workshops held with smaller groups of participants.
