“GLOBAL BRITAIN AND CONTEMPORARY DEFENSE CHALLENGES”

Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS), in cooperation with the British Embassy in Pristina held a conference in which Mr. Nick Gurr, director for international security policy at the defense ministry of Great Britain held a presentation on the topic: of British foreign policy, global and international security challenges. The conference was held on 23rd of Friday 2016.

In this conference Mr. Gurr has emphasized the need for  fostering the democracy and rule of law in order to combat threats which threating international order and western Balkans states. Speaking about Kosovo, he expressed the readiness of the Great Britain to continue supporting Kosovo in regional and international integration processes, especially in the security field.

In the other hand, the Executive Director of KCSS, Dr. Florian Qehaja in his opening speech emphasized the role UK as a partner of Kosovo in the important processes in which is Kosovo undergoing, especially in capacity building of Kosovo in terms of security and in especially capacity building of Kosovo’s security Force (KSF), while he demanded the need of ongoing support for future Kosovo’s Forced Army. During this event the audience had the chance to make question at take answers from Mr. Gurr.

This event was organized by the British Embassy in Kosovo with the support of KCSS.
