Plator Avdiu has graduated in June 2014 on his master studies at the University of Latvia in Riga, and holds the Social Sciences Master’s Degree in European Studies. Moreover, in 2012 he was selected for a two-year scholarship by the JoinEU-SEE III/Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Partnerships programme of the European Commission.
Since 2008 he has a Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Prishtina in Political Science.
For several years, Plator is experienced in the TV journalism. From 2008 to 2012 he worked at KohaVision (KTV) and covered, reported, as well as investigated important events focusing, but not limited to political and security fields. In addition to this, he is author of some documentaries that have been broadcasted in KTV.
In the course of this time, he followed and participated at many trainings and seminars in Kosovo and abroad regarding journalism, European integration, process of drafting Progress Report of the European Commission, participant of the study visit and intensive seminar to the main institutions of the European Union in Brussels, etc.
Since October 1, 2014 Plator is working as a researcher at the Kosovar Center for Security Studies through the Think Tank Fund’s programme, which is part of the Open Society Foundations.
Plator's Research Interests include: NATO enlargement, EU enlargement, Law and Security, Integrity in the Security Sector he can be reached for media in these topics but not limited to.
